Unfortunately, I have had to set my gallery page options to not accept comments. The reason is that the page is being spammed a LOT. There must be software programs with robots that automatically leave a long list of URL’s on the page so that their pages get higher rankings with search engines. I end up having to constantly delete them. Since this takes up too much of my time several times a day, I tried installing a Captcha program which is supposed to prevent this but it didn’t work. The spam programs must have a work around. So instead, I set the options for no comments at all. We’ll see how this works….. But you can still leave comments here on my blog…PLEASE! I want to hear from you.

One of my photos, “Moored”, has been juried into PHOTOMIDWEST 2008. The winners of the seven-state competition will be exhibited in the Wisconsin Union Galleries on the University of Wisconsin campus, September 26-November 11, 2008. An opening reception with a talk by juror Lisa Hostetler, will take place on September 26, 2008 from 7-9pm in the Memorial Union. PHOTOMIDWEST is a regional biennial month-long celebration of photography.  Lisa Hostetler is currently the associate curator of photographs at the Milwaukee Art Museum. She came to Milwaukee in April of 2005 after four years in the Department of Photographs at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
