About PJ
In only a few years after retiring from a career in law, PJ became an exhibited, award winning photographer. In addition to educating herself about photography, PJ earned a Certificate in Professional Photography from the New York Institute of Photography and a Certificate of Achievement in the Canon Photography Masters Program. She continues to participate in workshops and programs offered by professional photography organizations and continuing education courses.
PJ describes her work as eclectic, having earned more than 70 awards in various categories of photography including color, black and white, nature, and photojournalism. She has also been honored with invitations to judge photography competitions.
The subject matter of PJ’s photos varies from bicycles to butterflies, from sunsets in her Milwaukee neighborhood to wildlife in Zimbabwe. Although most of her work shows life realistically as she photographs it, some of her images are almost abstract and some are altered using computer software.
Although most of her images are captured while traveling, PJ also accepts photographic assignments including travel writing. She markets her work through exhibitions and fine art fairs, corporate buyers, and through this web site.
